Hey! So I was thinking about trying out for cheerleading at my school. I was wondering what your cheer tryouts were like? I know it differs from school to school but I was just curious. Thankyou(:

Learn one standard cheer.
Create one original cheer.
Perform these in the gym in front of 6 judges (2 teachers, 4 cheer members).
Don’t worry if your knees feel weak (normal).
Be sure to put a little Vaseline on your teeth so you can put on your best smile! (fights dry mouth)
Project your voice and give it your all!

I dance
I cheer, but you do it by yourself and you make up the moves.
Mounts-
Extension full downs (full twist downs)
Extension libs (full libertys)
Jumps (toetouch, herkeys, pikes)
And other tumbling, mounts
My high school tryouts were actually really simple. They teach you like a dance and jumps, and you have to learn it. And if its you first time, they will teach you how to do some basic stunts and that. And theres a little bit of tumbling. I think it is different for every school, so i guess you should maybe remember and practice a cheer on your own time. good luck!
